Mariachi Hidalgo was founded in 2017 and is led by our Musical Director Hernan Hidalgo Treviño who is a first-generation musician within his family. At the age of 21, Hernan is New York City’s, as well as the East Coast’s, 1st ever “Youngest Musical Director of a Mariachi Band”. Hernan graduated from the CUNY of Hunter College as a Music and History major to better prepare himself for both the musical and culture of mariachi. Within the first 2 years, Mariachi Hidalgo has performed in some of New York's exclusive places.
Hernan's main goal is to inspire and motivate other youths to continue this musical tradition of mariachi.

Mariachi Hidalgo fue fundada en 2017 y está dirigida por nuestro Director Musical Hernán Hidalgo Treviño, que es un músico de primera generación dentro de su familia. A la edad de 21 años, Hernan es el primer "Director musical más joven de una banda de mariachis" de la ciudad de Nueva York y de la costa este. Hernan se graduó del CUNY de Hunter College como estudiante de música e historia para prepararse mejor tanto para el musical como para la cultura del mariachi. En los primeros 2 años, Mariachi Hidalgo ha actuado en algunos de los lugares exclusivos de Nueva York. El objetivo principal de Hernan es inspirar y motivar a otros jóvenes a continuar esta tradición musical del mariachi. "Con la música no hay barreras".
